JB Off-Road's Jarrod McClure Podiums at Unadilla GNCC
Sam Williams Finishes Second in 4x4 Open Class

New Berlin, NY (9/13/2013) – The tenth round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series took place at the famed Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin, New York. Jarrod McClure made solid work of the famous track by earning his top finish this season in the XC1 Pro Class. Sam Williams also had success by taking second in the 4x4 Open class.

Jarrod McClure had a mid-pack start on his JB-Off Road Can-Am. McClure worked to move through the pack and went from sixth on lap one to fourth on lap three. McClure continued to charge ahead and overtook the third position on lap five. McClure was able to hold the third spot until the checkers.

“I ran my own race out there. I have worked hard over the summer and my Can-Am was great. I felt good and really just kept myself out of trouble and ran a solid race. I am super pumped to be on the podium today,” regarded McClure after his finish. This marks McClure’s best finish this season.

Sam Williams started his day by grabbing the holeshot in the 4x4 Open Class. Williams charged with the early lead and worked his way through the tight terrain. Williams dropped to second midway through the lap, but kept close to the leader. The pair had only a 00.025 gap between them at scoring on lap one. Williams continued to charge in the second position and remained there until the checkers.

“My Outlander worked great. My ITP Tires and FOX Shocks were amazing out there. The track got a little rough, but everything handled well,” said Williams.

Currently McClure holds sixth in the XC1 Pro Class points chase and Sam Williams holds second in the 4x4 Open class. The two will be back in two weeks at the Gusher GNCC in Foxburg, Pennsylvania. With the momentum that McClure will be carrying from his podium and William’s drive to get a win, we can expect an exciting battle at the next round.
