Epic’s Josh Frederick clinched
the 2007 WORCS title with one round
remaining on the schedule |
Ontario, CA (11/16/2007) -The
2007 World Off-Road Championship Series
concluded with round ten at Taft, California,
in much the same manner as the rest of the
season: with an ITP-equipped quad in winner’s
circle. Defending series champion Doug Eichner
rode a Duncan Racing Polaris Outlaw 525
to his second overall victory in a row,
and his third of the season. These performances,
as well as his year-long consistency (eight
podium appearances in ten events, with only
one DNF), propelled the El Cajon, California,
native to second overall in the final 2007
WORCS Pro class point standings.
Taking overall championship honors, however,
was Moapa, Nevada’s, Josh Frederick,
who had clinched the number one plate
at the previous round at Pismo Beach,
California. Frederick’s domination
of the series through the first seven
events — with six wins, including
an historic debut victory for the Can-Am
DS 450 — allowed the Team Epic Racing
rider to overcome some late-season problems
and still claim the title.
Team Epic’s Jeremy Schell, of Murrietta,
California, climbed the third step of
the final podium standings on the strength
of seven top-five finishes.

All three riders spent virtually the
entire 2007 WORCS season on front and
rear ITP Holeshot GNCC tires, which provided
them with outstanding handling, traction
and durability throughout the year. From
January to November, this series ran on
almost every conceivable terrain —
from dry, rocky, wide-open desert settings
to tight, muddy woods and even loose sand
dunes — and in every case these
tires performed with flying colors. In
all these conditions, the Holeshot GNCCs
reliably delivered an ideal balance of
acceleration, braking and cornering performance,
as well as a light feel and smooth ride,
which reduces rider fatigue during long
stints in the saddle.
ITP Holeshot GNCC tires are available
in 21x7-10 and 22x7-10 sizes for the front,
and 20x10-9 and 21x11-9 for the rear.
All carry a tough 6-ply rating and utilize
a long-wearing rubber compound, yet remain
amazingly light in weight.
