Lynden, WA (4/16/2014) - Another race weekend around
the country with big car counts as the WORCS Series rolled into Sand
Hollow Utah for Round #4 with over 70 racers ready to battle while the
GNCC Series headed to Round #2 and the Big Buck in Union, SC with
almost 70 racers.

Beau Baron claimed his second SxS win of the season at Sand Hollow WORCS |
Returning to Sand Hollow, WORCS regulars RJ Anderson and Beau
Baron knew the heavy sand was going to be a factor. For the second
race in a row Beau Baron, used his Maxxis tires on the familiar white/
orange/black Holz/Polaris RZR XP 1000 and it’s Curtis Sparks horsepower
to pull the holeshot in SXS Pro Production. Leading uncontested
things tightened up once they got into lap traffic on the last lap. Sliding
back into second place, he was able to make his way back to the front
and claim his second win of the season. After four rounds, Baron holds
a 10 point lead over second place. RJ Anderson and the #37 Walker
Evans/HRP Polaris RZR XP 1000 pulled a decent start and was right
in the mix, running up front until a mechanical issue caused him to slow
on the final lap, nursing a damaged car to a fourth place finish.
Ronnie Anderson was back and ready to do damage in the SXS Production
1000 class, unfortunately he suffered the same bad luck as his
older brother with mechanical gremlins and had to take a DNF. Ronnie
keeps gaining seat time in his #520 Walker Evans/HRP Polaris RZR
XP 900 and we think it’s only a matter of time till he’s on top of the box.
Going from the wide-open spaces of the WORCS race to the tight confines
of the woods back east, the GNCC series headed to Union, SC and
the Big Buck. Since round #1, Scott Kiger and mechanic/co-driver Tyler
King have worked on testing and set-up on the new Polaris/Coastal/
Holz RZR XP 1000. Kiger ran a solid race. After almost an hour of racing,
Kiger claimed a third place finish, 18 seconds out of the win. “This
car is really coming together. We started good and ran a great race. It’s
crazy that after 58 minutes of racing, it comes down to a few seconds
separating the top three spots. We’ve got work to do, we’ll be back.”
said Scott Kiger.
“I’m really proud of all the guys running our stuff. We are developing
the new cars and parts that define UTV performance. It’s great to have
partners like Polaris and Walker Evans Racing. We’re taking these
new RZR XP 1000’s and campaigning them in BITD, WORCS and GNCC
series’. This isn’t simply one dimension, it’s performance for wherever
people ride.” said Mark Holz.
Next up, RJ Anderson and Beau Baron will head to Ridgecrest, CA
for Round #5 of the WORCS Series with their HRP/Polaris RZR
XP 1000s on May 9th. The Holz/Coastal RZR XP will head back
for some testing & development and be ready for the Best in the
Desert Silver State 300 on May 3rd in Alamo, NV. And the Coastal
GNCC team will get their Polaris RZRs ready for Round #3 at
The Mountaineer Run in Masontown, West Virgina on May 24th.
