Lynden, WA (10/16/2013) - The 2013 WORCS Season
wrapped up this past weekend at Buffalo Bill’s Casino outside Primm,
NV. And all things pointed to a wild race with the WORCS crew combining
all SXS classes together on the course for a total of 55 UTVs .
In Pro Production, Holz Racing Product’s Beau Baron and his #549
HRP/Polaris/Maxxis RZR XP 900 needed to finish 7th or better to
lock up the Pro Production Title.
Coming off a broken collar bone,
there were questions as to how Beau was going to be perform. All
those were answered when Baron pulled a holeshot while teammate
RJ Anderson and his freshly built #37 Walker Evans/Polaris/
Loanmart/HRP XP 1000 slotted into second spot. At the end of lap
one, Beau settled in to a solid pace while RJ suffered a mechanical.

From there, Baron settled in and drove a solid and smooth race, finishing
the 5-lap race in 45:03.625 with a 51 second lead over runner
up Ryan Piplic.

In SXS Production 1000, Mitch Guthrie, Jr. drove his #751 Guthrie
Racing/HRP Polaris RZR XP 900 to a solid second place finish on
the rough and rocky Nevada desert course. With five wins on the
season, Guthrie was proud to lock up another championship for the
Polaris RZR team with his Holz-equipped XP 900.

David Haagsma finished the season strong in the WORCS Pro Class by winning his second race of the season |
Meanwhile in SXS Production 700 class, David Haagsma parked his
#422 Curtis Sparks powered, Holz equipped Polaris RZR 570 for the
weekend after clinching the championship with a dominating 7 wins
on the season. Haagsma tested his hand in a Polaris RZR XP 1000
in the SXS Production 1000 class and posted the fastest lap of the race
with a 8:33.052 - watch for more of this next season!

RZR XP) we won 7 of 9 SXS Pro Production against some very good
cars and drivers. Mitch lead the charge in SXS Production 1000 with
5 wins while team drivers Haagsma and Michael Bunyea won 8 of the
9 SXS Production 700 events. We’ve got great partners in Polaris
and Walker Evans Racing.” said Mark Holz.
The HRP UTV Racers will be racing to the end, going for championships
in the GNCC and Best In The Desert Series. The Coastal
GNCC team has one remaining race the Ironman in Crawford, IN at
the end of October, while Mark Holz and Scott Kiger’s Coastal/Holz
RZR XP will head to Henderson, NV for the last round of the Best
in the Desert series - The Henderson 250 on December 6th.
