Holz Racing's Beau Baron Wins SxS / UTV Pro WORCS Canyon MX
WORCS ATV & SxS Racing - Round 1 - Canyon MX - Peoria, AZ - Jan. 26-27, 2013
Lynden, WA (1/29/2013) - The first race of the year
is always highly anticipated, especially for the Holz Racing Products
team this year. With a new larger team of racers (including Beau
Baron and Mitch Guthrie joining long-time Holz racer RJ Anderson)
and new cars ready to do battle, everyone was pumped for round
1 of the WORCS series, unfortunately what was shaping up to be a
perfect weekend of racing with Holz drivers qualifying top three on
Friday and turned into a full-on mudfest and shortened track with
most of MX section cutoff for racer safety.
New for '13 was the introduction of the SxS Pro UTV class with Beau
and RJ claiming top qualifiers while Mitch Guthrie Jr, qualified third
overall and first in SxS Production 1000.

Holz Racing's Beau Baron grabbed the WORCS SxS Pro Production Class Holeshot & lead the race from start to finish in his Polaris RZR XP 900 SxS / UTV |
When the green flag dropped on Saturday and the 23 SXS Pro UTV
drivers headed for the first turn, it was Beau Baron pulling the hole
shot with his Maxxis tires hooking up in the slick mud. Baron never
looked back and lead it from wire to wire for the win.

RJ Anderson qualified second place, but a staging mistake & mechanical failure would end his day early at Canyon MX
|
Beau put his
head down and got to work on the muddy track and started to gap
the field, lapping up to second position. Second place qualifier RJ
Anderson got hung up in a staging mistake and had to start from
the back of the pack. He'd put in two laps trying to make it to the
front but ended his day with a mechanical failure.
Moving on to SxS Production 1000, new Holz racer Mitch Guthrie
Jr. showed he's ready for the WORCS season with a solid win in
SXS Production 1000 a two minute lead over second place and
lap times on pace with the SXS Pro UTV class. H&M Motorsports/
Maxxis Tires Micheal Bunyea scored yet another Holz win in
Production 700 with his newly built Holz RZR 570.
