Lawrence, KS (3/8/2007) - The
opening round of the 2007 Grand National Cross
Country championship in Vero Beach, Florida showed
the dominance of Team HiPer and HiPer Technology's
Tech 3 ATV racing wheel. Our legendary durability
and light weight carried more riders to top finishes
than any other wheel.
The most notable class win was in the Women's
division with the first four finishers riding
on HiPer's Tech 3 ATV wheels. Traci Cecco led
the field home, followed by Jennifer Albright,
Lexie Coulter, and Angel Atwell. Stephanie Verkade
rounded out the top ten with an eighth place finish,
giving HiPer five of the top ten finishers.
The men's XC1 Pro class saw a strong eleven of
the top twenty finishers on HiPer wheels. The
top placing Team HiPer rider was once again Chris
Borich. Ryan Morphew crossed the line in fifth,
with other Team HiPer riders Chris Bithel, Bryan
Cook, and Chris Jenks all finishing in the top
ten. Walker Fowler finished first in Youth Production,
while Brandon Summers won the XC2 Pro Am class
with two more Team HiPer riders in the top ten.
"HiPer wheels were needed today" said
Jennifer Albright after a career high second place
finish. "I ran hard all day and never had
a bent wheel no matter how tough the terrain."
Team HiPer's riders will be racing at the second
round of the Grand National Cross Country championship
March 10, 2007 in Washington, Georgia and round
one of the ATVA Championship moto-cross series
March 10, 11, 2007 in Pell City, Alabama.
