Primm, NV (10/17/2013) - Beau Baron wrapped up two championships at the ninth and final round of the Rocky Mountain ATV MC WORCS. Baron first captured the SxS Pro Production Championship aboard his Polaris RZR XP 900 before claiming another Pro ATV championship on his H&M backed Honda 450R. David Haagsma secured his second WORCS Pro ATV win of the season at the final round.

Beau Baron started out his weekend by lining up for the Pro Production SxS race; Baron was unsure how the race would go, as the veteran racer has a broken collar bone. He had to finish eighth or better to secure the championship. He mastered the sixteen racer field and took another commanding win.

Baron grabbed the holeshot with his Sparks engine and Maxxis Tire combination. Baron continued his charge from the line for all five laps and never gave up the lead. Baron’s impressive race was capped with a 51.169 victory margin. The win put Baron on the center of the box and crowned him WORCS Racing SxS Pro champion.

“I wasn’t sure how this race was going to go. I did practice on Friday and used my foot to wedge myself in my seat hard. I was hoping it was enough to allow me to drive hard and it was. I am so stoked to get this win and this championship. I’ve wanted it for a while,” said Baron. “My Polaris worked amazing out there, my Sparks motor, Maxxis Tires, Walker Evans suspension and everything.  I couldn’t be more pumped about this championship.”

Baron also wrapped up the WORCS Pro ATV Championship by starting the race, but he pulled off before the end of the lap one to earn five participation points, which was enough to secure the championship over his teammate, David Haagsma.  “I had to start the race, I would’ve loved to race and battle with everyone but my collar bone isn’t anywhere near healed enough to do that. I had a great time cheering on my teammate after the start and it really was an epic weekend for H&M,” said Baron.

David Haagsma took a commanding win at the final round. Haagsma rode a hard race to notch a nearly three minute victory over the rest of the pro field. He had a decent start and was in third on lap one; he was able to overtake the lead on lap three and never looked back.

“It’s great to finish the season with a win and then take second to my teammate in the championship. I had a great season; my H&M Motorsports Honda worked great all year and I can’t thank everyone enough that helped,” said Haagsma.

Haagsma also earned the SxS Production 700 class championship. Haagsma earned seven wins on the season with his H&M backed Polaris 570, so he raced his new Polaris RZR XP 1000 this weekend in the SxS Production 1000 class.  “I am stoked to get the championship. I had an awesome time running the SxS and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I am thankful to everyone that made it possible for me to run both,” regarded Haagsma.

The H&M Motorsports Team ended on a high note with three championships and one second overall. The team has proven again, that Beau Baron and David Haagsma are the forced to be reckoned with in the West. Although WORCS has ended, the H&M Team will wrap up the 2013 season at the final two rounds of Quad X Series.
