Milford, CA (9/19/2013) - The H&M Motorsports Team had a history making day at the eighth round of the Rocky Mountain ATV MC WORCS. Beau Baron won both the Pro ATV race and the Pro Production SxS race.

Baron’s winning day was capped off by breaking the win record that was previously held at the WORCS. David Haagsma lit up the history books by taking his seventh straight win in the SxS Production 750 class and wrapped up the class championship. Haagsma also put his H&M backed Honda on the podium in the Pro ATV race.

Baron started out his weekend by ripping off the line in his Holz Racing Polaris RZR XP 900 SxS and grabbing the holeshot with his Sparks engine. Baron never looked back from his lead and crossed the checkers just the way he likes to… in the lead.

“Getting another win on the Polaris was great. I knew a good start was crucial and my Sparks motor ripped right off the line and put me where I needed to be. I never looked back once I started. It was a good day,” regarded Baron of his SxS Pro Production win.

Baron backed his SxS win with another win in the Pro ATV Class. He had a good start and was third off the line. Baron had to battle for the first nine laps before he was able to take over the lead. Once in the lead Baron put the hammer down and worked to pull away. He ran into an issue on the final lap which forced him to a quick pit stop, but the defending champion never lost the lead.

“Today was an amazing day, getting two wins is awesome and add breaking a record to it and it is just gnarly. My H&M Honda worked great and I really couldn’t be happier with today,” said Baron after the round.

David Haagsma earned his seventh win in the WORCS SxS Production 750 Class claiming an early championship in a borrowed Polaris RZR 570 SxS

Haagsma wasn’t sure how his SxS Production 750 race would go, as he lined up in a borrowed Pro Motorsports Polaris RZR 570. He experienced a mechanical issue with his RZR on Friday and couldn’t race it. The borrowed machine proved worthy, as Haagsma grabbed the holeshot and lead from start to finish. The win, his seventh in a row, secured the championship for him.

“It was great to get a win and wrap the championship up early. I am really happy how it turned out,” said Haagsma after the race.

Haagsma grabbed the holeshot in the Pro ATV race with his Sparks engine and took advantage of the early lead. Haagsma held the number one spot until lap eight, when he was passed by Baron and forced to pit. The unplanned pit stop dropped Haagsma from second to third. He put on a hard charge, but wasn’t able to gain any positions back. He finished just three seconds behind second place.

“The beginning of the race went great. My Sparks engine got me a great start and I was rolling well in the lead. I ended up having to pit and a few got by me. I was right on second place when I pulled out of the pit, but the track was tight and I couldn’t get around him,” regarded Haagsma.

The H&M Motorsports Team will back for the final round of WORCS racing in just a few weeks. The ninth round will be held at Buffalo Bill’s Casino in Primm, Nevada.
