Devore, CA (8/16/2013) - The H&M Motorsports Team put on quite a show at the seventh round of the Rocky Mountain ATV MC WORCS. Beau Baron and David Haagsma went 1-2 in the Pro ATV class. The pair also had successful SxS races with Haagsma notching his sixth straight win in the SxS Production 700 class and Baron taking fourth in the SxS Pro Production class.

Baron ripped off the line with his Sparks’s powered engine and Maxxis Tires in the Pro ATV class.  He over took the lead in a rock section midway through the race. Once in the lead, Baron set a staggering pace. He did lose the lead when he stopped to pit, but strategically gained the number one spot again on lap eight. He took the win by an impressive 38.152.

“My Sparks motor got me off the line really well. I grabbed the lead in a rock section; I was grateful for my Maxxis Tires, they hooked up great everywhere and really helped get though the terrain. It means a lot to me to get this win today; I got hurt out at Red Bud a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure how I would feel for today,” explained Baron after the race.

David Haagsma put his H&M Motorsports Honda in second after grabbing a third position start. He quickly gained on Baron, who was charging away from the pack and the duo began to gap the rest of the field. Haagsma clocked the fastest lap of the race on lap three, an impressive 08:54.011. Haagsma’s second place finish marks his fifth one this season.

Haagsma also took his sixth commanding win in the SxS Production class. He grabbed the holeshot and never looked back. He worked each lap to gap the rest of the field and took the win a lap ahead of the rest of the class.

“The SxS race went great. My Maxxis Tires and Sparks motor ripped off the line and then I started pulling away from everyone. When I’d hit lappers they would gain on me, but I was able to keep a good distance. My RZR worked great and I am stoked to get another win,” said Haagsma.

In the SxS Pro Production class, Baron grabbed the holeshot with his Sparks / Maxxis combo Polaris RZR XP 900. He began to pull away and clocked the fastest lap one lap five, a quick 06:32.349. Unfortunately, Baron ran into bad luck on lap six, which slowed his charge,  but Baron still scored a fourth place finish and holds a ten point lead in the championship chase.

The H&M Motorsports duo will be back for more WORCS racing action in September at Honey Lake in Milford, Ca. The race will span from September 13-15. Both Baron and Haagsma will be lining up in the Pro ATV class and the SxS classes to continue their quest to bring home three championships.
