Steering Stabilizer for DRR Mini ATV's

San Diego, CA (2/13/2009)
- GPR Stabilizer has recently
released its famed GPR V1 High Performance Steering
Stabilizer for the DRR Mini Quad application.
The V1 was introduced 6 years ago, and has since
won 100’s of championships around the world.
The GPR is being used by many of the top pros
in the ATVA,GNCC, and WORCS series. Multi time
champion Doug Eichner, Santo Derisi in the GNCC
series, and the ATVA Factory Kawasaki Team of
Josh Creamer and Chad Wienen have all made the
switch to GPR.
Prior to the GPR the only option for the mini-quad
racer was to adapt a full size “stick style”
stabilizer, which works, but tends to heat up
quickly and fade. They also don’t have the
sweep to sweep stabilization which the puck style
GPR offers.
Most high performance mini quads racing at the
national level have been widened to improve handling
and stability. The downside is that the added
width adds leverage to the handlebars, making
the steering twitchy, and puts a lot of force
on the young riders wrists and hands. With the
GPR Stabilizer the steering is more controlled,
allowing the rider to have more control over the
ATV, and blaze through rough terrain without worries
of the front end swapping out on them.
We installed the GPR kit on a 2008 DRR DRX 70cc
atv. The installation was straight forward with
no cutting or drilling required, the fit and finish
were superb, and with 8 different anodized colors
available, it really looks trick! The real test
however was on the track, where we had 5 time
70cc National Champion and seasoned test rider
Buddy Williams hit a 4 mile mix of Motocross and
Desert terrain at speed. You could see the stability
in the bike, and the young rider stated he could
push the bike much harder and felt much more in
control.
At an MSRP of $450 the GPR isn’t for everyone,
but if you have a National Caliber rider, who
pushes the limits of his machine, or an up and
coming rider who could use the added stability
and safety, the GPR Stablizer is a must have product.
As of now the kit is only available for the DRR
brand of mini, however mounting kits for other
brands may be offered at a later date.

About GPR Stabilizer:
GPR Stabilizer is a family
owned and operated business with a pure passion
for every discipline of motorcycle racing.. The
GPR Stabilizer was born of frustration. Fed up
with the lack of quality and selection at the
time, Ralph and Randy Norman set out to make the
best steering damper available for off-road racers.
They started with an original design created from
previous testing and prototyping. Helped by their
background in aerospace manufacturing and design,
it evolved into the dominant steering damper at
any off road venue today. Now, with patents held
in the USA and abroad, GPR has set its sights
on the world racing market. The success from our
professional road-, off-road-, and ATV-racers
around the world has allowed us to develop what
racers are asking for: a steering damper that
is lightweight, small, adjustable on the fly,
and easy to service. With applications for just
about every popular make and model of performance
motorcycle, our steering dampers are top-of-the-line.
The GPRV4 was designed and developed specifically
for sport bikes and road racing bikes and is now
used by some of the biggest names in racing. We
personally represent GPR at many venues across
the US and Europe. On any given weekend, one rig
will be at an AMA Road Race, another at a WORCS
off- road championship, and another in the World
Superbike paddock. GPR Stabilizer is currently
the only American sponsor of the World Superbike
Championship and the only rotary steering damper
on the World Supersport grid. Thanks to successful
partnerships with our distributors, racers, and
teams, GPR Stabilizer has racked up championships
across the globe and is represented and distributed
in over 24 countries.. Every part of GPR Stabilizer
is produced under one roof. Design, manufacturing,
assembly, testing, and distribution are all done
at our San Diego, CA facility. We are the only
steering damper company to provide it all for
you: lifetime service warranties, color selections,
range of applications, service in the paddocks,
and most importantly, constant improvement. Take
