GNCC Racing - ATV & Motorcycle XC Racing

St. Clairsville, OH (10/14/2013) - Chris Bithell made a phenomenal comeback ride at the twelfth round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series in St. Clairsvillie, Ohio. Bithell earned a fourth place finish aboard his Reliable Tool Supply / Maxxis Tires backed Suzuki.

Bithell’s race started out with a hard crash just before the first turn. Bithell was thrown from his ATV and knocked out on the track. Many rushed to help him and after a few moments, Bithell remounted his quad and took off just before the delayed start of the XC2 Pro Am Class.

After getting knocked out from a wreck at the start, Chris Bithell made the come back from the rear of the pack to place fourth in the GNCC XC1 Pro Class

Bithell was nearly two minutes down from the XC1 Pro class as he charged around the track. He made amazing progress and passed into the ninth spot just before going through scoring on lap one. Bithell continued to push and made another exciting pass for fifth just before scoring on lap two.

The Pennsylvania racer wasn’t happy in fifth and continued his amazing come from behind ride to move into fourth on the final lap. Bithell, amazingly, crossed the checkers with a 43.156 gap over fifth position.

“This was a tough race. The crash really rocked me and I don’t remember any of it or the first few laps of the race. I really wanted a great finish here, after my win at the Gusher I had a lot of momentum coming in.  I wish I could’ve been battling for the win, but all things considered I am happy to have earned fourth. I really want to thank everyone that helped me after my get off. I appreciate everyone’s quick response and concern. I also want to thank my sponsors, my Reliable Tool Suzuki worked pretty great even after it rolled over. My Maxxis Tires had perfect traction, my Walsh Race Craft / FOX set up was flawless and my ATV Innovations motor pulled like no other. I can’t thank everyone enough that helped me get here,” regarded Bithell after the round.

Bithell will be back on the track in two short weeks at the season finale in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The Ironman will be held October 26th and Bithell will be looking to put his Reliable Tool Supply Suzuki out front at one of his favorite tracks.
