GBC Motorsports' Second at BITD Silver State 300
GBC Motorsports Best in the Desert Racing

Anaheim, CA (5/9/2014) - GBC Motorsports racers took on the Best in the Desert Silver State 300 and struck silver as the Holz Racing team found the podium with a 2nd place finish.

More than 30 UTVs lined up for the start of the BITD Canidae Tap It Silver State 300, but few could predict the challenges that lay beyond the starting line. As the racers erupted off the line in thirty second intervals it quickly became apparent that thick dust and a lack of wind would make visibility a major factor in this race.

While the course was not as rough as the Mint 400 course, 9 of the 34 UTVS that started failed to make it to the finish line. Though they ran most of the race in 4th or 5th position, the Holz Racing Team managed to push their GBC Mongrel equipped #1934 Polaris RZR to a time corrected 2nd place finish. Holz Racing sits in 2nd place in the BITD Pro UTV points race after a string of solid races.

UTV racing newcomer Johnny Angal also opted to use the Mongrel in this extremely silty course. Angal piloted his #1921 UTV Inc. Polaris RZR to an impressive 7th place finish.

Dan Fisher and Mike Lansky also put GBC tires to the test in the Silver State 300 and came through the other side. Fisher and company notched a 12th place finish in the #1910 Lonestar Racing Polaris RZR, while Lansky and crew finished 21st in the Avid Racing Can-Am Maverick.

Cody Mitchell was the lone GBC Motorsports representative on the ATV side of things. Mitchell pushed his GBC Motorsports equipped machine to an impressive 3rd place finish in the Quad Pro class.
