GBC Motorsports' ATV Racers Podium at Quad-X Motocross
Comp Edge Motocross & Glen Helen Motocross Quad X Racing

Anaheim, CA (7/12/2013) - GBC Motorsports riders out in the Southwest have kept busy this summer with multiple race series throughout the region, including back-to-back weekends of Yamaha Quad-X Series competition.

Quad-X Round 4 – Competitive Edge MX – June 30, 2013
The crazy week full of racing began Sunday, June 30th at Competitive Edge MX in Hesperia, CA. The 4th round of the 2013 Yamaha Quad-X Series saw three overall podium finishes by GBC riders, including a class victory.

Brian Sirevaag led the way for GBC-equipped racers with a fine performance in the 450 Production Intermediate class. Finishing 2nd and 1st in the two heats, Brian took 1st overall and notched his first class victory of the season. Billy Martin joined Sirevaag on the podium with a 1-4 showing, good for 3rd place overall.

Dillon Dixon - Honda 450R ATV
Dillon Dixon placed seventh in the Quad X Pro Class at Comp Edge Motocross

Dylan Dixon continued to battle through the top-notch field in the Pro 450 class, going 4-7 for a 7th place finish in Round 4. Dixon’s GBC Bomb Squad MX tires helped him to a Pro-Am championship in 2012, and the young rider is working hard to adjust to the competition at the Pro level.

GBC’s own Kory Ellis has made his return to racing this summer and grabbed a 2nd place podium finish after going 3-2 in the motos. Joining Ellis in the Pro-Am ranks is Troy Barker, who grabbed a top-10 finish with a 9th place overall in Hesperia.

Katie Dixon, sister of Dylan Dixon, has been making waves in the 450 Production Beginner class herself this season. Katie went 4-3 at Competitive Edge for an overall 3rd place aboard her GBC Bomb Squad tires.

Quad-X Round 5 – Glen Helen Raceway – July 7, 2013
Just a week later Quad-X riders headed out to Glen Helen Raceway for Round 5 of the series. Kory Ellis claimed his second straight podium finish, going 2-2 for an overall 2nd place. Ellis’ three podium appearances this season have pushed him up to 4th place in the Pro-Am standings.

In the 450 Prod Int class it was Billy Martin leading the way this time around, putting together a pair of solid performances to finish 1-2 and 2nd overall. Martin’s consistency this season has him in prim position, just 8 points behind the class leader in second place. Sirevaag went 5-3 for 3rd place overall, and this third podium finish of the season has Brian in 5th in the standings.

Dylan Dixon again finished in 7th overall in the Pro 450 class after going 5-7. Dixon has raced every round of the series so far this year and sits in 7th place in the standings.

Katie Dixon backed up her solid 3rd place podium with another at Glen Helen. With another 4-3 set of motos and 3rd place in the 450 Prod Beg class, Katie is now sitting in 2nd place in the season standings.

The next round of the Yamaha Quad-X Series is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th at Canyon MX in Peoria, AZ, for a special nighttime event.
