2010 ATVA Extreme Dirt Track ATV
Racing Schedule Announced
Pickerington, OH (1/5/2010)
- The 2010 Extreme Dirt Track dates and locations
are now finalized. As previously mentioned, there
will be seven rounds total which is up one from
last year. In an effort to attract more riders
to the series and offset travel costs, the number
of events needed to qualify for the championship
has been revised. In 2010, anyone who competes
at an EDT national event will be eligible for
a championship. There is no minimum race entry
required as in years past.
Additionally, the board felt the number of drops
should be revisited. Last year no drops were allowed
due to the shortened 6 race series. This year,
those who compete in the Pro-Lites, Pro-Am Unlimited,
or ‘A’ classes will be allowed 1 drop.
All other amateur and youth classes will be allowed
2 drops. Pro riders will not be allowed any drops.
Those riders that compete in the same class all
7 rounds will be rewarded 10 bonus points at the
end of the year.
The 2010 season will kick off on May 8th in Burnsville,
NC at Robbins Ridge Motorsports Park and conclude
with the return of Wayne County Speedway in Orville,
Ohio. The seven round series is conveniently spread
out so that riders will have 2-3 weeks to prepare
for each upcoming event. The majority of rounds
will include the typical one day format. Announcements
will be made prior to each round with a better
detailed weekend format.
We look forward to seeing you in 2010!
