Quebec, Canada (3/20/2006) - Elka Suspension
is now offering front and rear shock absorbers for the
2006 Suzuki
LT-R450 ATV model (stock geometry). Demand has increased
dramatically since Suzuki first announced the introduction
of
this performance model. Our research and development team
has been working hard to further improve the suspension
to get the most out of it.
At the front, Elka Suspension’s configuration
is a triple-rate spring setup over a piggyback reservoir
shock absorber, boosting the wheel travel up to 11",
compared to the 9.4" of the stock suspension. The
front Elka Suspension shock absorber not only provides
more travel but also offers much more adjustability
to make it more suitable for racing applications. The
front suspension also improves the overall performance
by changing the attack angle of the frame so that the
front is slightly higher than the rear, leading to much
more control over whoops sections and harsh impacts.
The Elka Suspension rear shock absorber is a dual-rate
spring setup with a remote reservoir. The wheel travel
is half inch more than stock at 11.9", but the
progression is much smoother throughout the stroke,
providing more comfort and less bottoming out. The ride
height of the vehicle is lowered by an average of 1",
for a lower center of gravity, better turning performance
and more stability over choppy terrain. The remote reservoir
and optimized oil flow of the Elka Suspension shocks
also solve the overheating and fading problem of the
stock rear shock absorber.
Intensively tested by some of the most intense professional
racers, including Suzuki Factory Team rider William
Yokley, these new Elka Suspension models will transform
your LT-R450 from a harsh ride into a truly race-ready
machine.
