DragonFire Racing at Oregon
DuneFest & Sturgis Biker Rally
DragonFire / Destination Polaris RZR XP 900 SxS / UTV
Mesa, AZ (8/10/2013) - Despite a couple damp mornings, DragonFire
brought the heat to DuneFest, celebrating the family oriented event in
Winchester Bay, Oregon, this past weekend. Marking the second stop of
the DragonFire / MotoUSA Ride Tour triple crown, DuneFest was just part
of an overall outreach for the UTV aftermarket accessory leader. In a
departure from conventional wisdom, DragonFire also hit the big biker
rally in Sturgis this week.

“The crowd in Sturgis was a little more ‘adult’ than the new friends we
made at DuneFest,” admits DragonFire’s social media manager Chris
Moore. Thanks to the folks at Black Hills Harley-Davidson and the crew
from Küryakyn, DragonFire was able to show off the RockSolid RZR that
appeared on Destination Polaris last season. “Honestly we were expecting
a lukewarm response… instead, they turned the tables on us! For once
DragonFire was feeling the Heat, but in a good way with a surprising
amount of interest. They may ride their hogs to the Black Hills, but many
of them have UTVs back home.”

The positive reception at DuneFest was even better than expected. “We had
the opportunity to make 9,000 new friends at DuneFest,” says Moore. “We also
witnessed the launch of the XP 1000 in person and were part of the first public
showing of XP1K. If you have been under a rock (or out at the Sturgis Rally),
you need to see this epic film: http://www.utvunderground.com/xp1k#”
The XP1K debut on the big screen was the perfect way to kick off the
DragonFire/MotoUSA Drive-In Movie Night in the Oregon Dunes. “DuneFest
was a great event, highlighted by perfect weather, thousands of dune
enthusiasts, the unveiling of the new Polaris XP 1000 and of course the
second stop of the Ride Tour,” says Ken Hutchison from MotoUSA.
“We had a lot of fun romping around in the sand with a half-dozen riders
from MotoUSA, Motorcycle-Superstore and DragonFire along with a bunch
of friends who joined us on unofficial tour rides throughout the weekend.
Our drive-in movie night was packed with at least a thousand people
watching The Avengers and we gave away a boat-load of free stuff at
the booth each day. I want to say thanks to DuneFest and invite you to hit
Glamis this Halloween for the Ride Tour grand finale.”
Meanwhile, DragonFire is already busy getting ready to bring the Heat to
Glen Helen for the WORCS race this weekend! If you didn’t do DuneFest
or Sturgis and can’t make it out to the track this weekend, start making
plans to join us for Halloween. But even before that, don’t forget to “Like”
