CUSTOM AXIS RACING SHOCKS ANNOUNCES
NEW PLUSH RIDE SYSTEM
Reading, PA (2/14/2007) -
Custom Axis Racing Shocks, a world leader in ATV racing
shock technology, has developed a new ground breaking
ATV Suspension technology named the Plush Ride System
(PRS). The system was developed with great success during
the 2006 racing season with top level ATV racers such
as GNC champion Joe Byrd, GNCC Pro Chris Borich, and GNC
Pro Dustin Wimmer.
At the heart of the system is a new patent pending
anti-bottoming device which provides progressively higher
damping force as the suspension nears bottom. By separating
full travel anti-bottoming resistance from normal ride
situations, PRS racers enjoy an extremely plush, compliant
suspension. The Plush Ride setup drastically reduces
rider fatigue and arm pump, allowing PRS racers to perform
at peak levels during motocross motos, or grueling GNCC
races.
PRS Racers and suspension tuners are able to optimize
their suspension setup without suspension bottoming
concerns. Because the anti-bottoming device provides
a progressive force buildup, racers can take advantage
of a lower ride height. Lowering the ride height brings
the center of gravity close to the ground, and provides
more stable cornering, and improved traction. PRS equipped
shocks will also allow the racer to recover more quickly
from jump landings and harsh impacts because the added
damping absorbs impact forces instead of building force
into high rate coil or air springs.
Until now, typical Multi-spring or air spring suspensions
have required major increases to their main spring rate
to resist bottoming which negatively impacts ride characteristics.
Because typical ATV suspensions were setup to resist
bottoming, rider comfort, suspension compliance and
traction were compromised. With the new Plush Rise System
from Custom Axis, ATV riders can now enjoy an optimum,
no compromise, setup with a “best of both worlds”
feel.
