Las Vegas, NV (5/7/2014) - Three time Best in The Desert Pro Quad Champions, CT Racing’s #Q1 Danny Prather and David Scott claimed their second straight win of the season at the BITD Silver State 300 to extend their points lead.

High temperatures and dust were the primary challenges of the 297 mile loop course. The Pro Quads left the starting line at day break, heading east. The rising sun, combined with a lot of dust, made visibility very challenging. “It was a super dusty course with lots of silt, and there was no breeze so the dust just kind of hung there in the morning, and with the sunlight, it made it pretty difficult to see,” said Danny Prather, who was starting for the CT Racing team.

Prather and Scott were one of the last Pro Quad teams to leave the start, but Danny Prather made up time as he rode a steady pace for the first 50 miles and began to pick off other racers one by one. “Our Maxxis Tires and Elka suspension was working great out there and I felt good so I just kept a good pace and made it up to second by the 50 mile mark when I handed the quad over to David,” said Prather.

Once in control of their Honda TRX450R, David Scott charged hard. By the fifth pit stop area, Scott had taken over the lead for the team. “Our CT engine was working great out there. We had tons of power and we never had any issues,” said Scott.

The pair switched off a few more times over the course of the race, but kept the lead and never looked back, taking another win and moving one step closer to their fourth championship. “This win really meant a lot to us. It takes a lot of time and effort to get ready for these events and there’s no way we could do it without the help from all of our sponsors,” said Scott.

“Everything went flawless for us out there. We have been winning on this same setup for the last three years and we couldn’t ask for anything better. This is our second straight win so far this season, so that takes a little pressure off, but we still want to win as many as possible,” added Prather.

Round number six of the 2014 BITD series and the third round for the quads will be the Vegas to Reno on August 14-16, where Danny Prather and David Scott are going for their third win of the season in their hunt for a fourth straight championship.
