Hillsdale, MI (8/28/2009) - Kids
on Cobras winning titles is a familiar saying this
time of year what with both the mini cycle and,
just this past week, the mini quad National Championships
taking place at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane
Mills, Tenn. And while the Cobra bikes took center
stage two weeks ago, this past week Cobra mini quad
pilots dominated the 50, 70 and 90cc production
classes at Loretta’s ATVA finals, capping
off the 12-round summer series with five overall
championships.
Claiming National titles in every production
class the Cobra brand was allowed to run, Cobra
mini quad racers ran the table at Loretta’s
and on the season – many for the second-straight
year!
Cobra ATVA winners at Loretta’s and overall
season National title winners included:
1st – Corey Heath,
50cc Sr. class, at Loretta’s and ATVA Series
National Champion
1st – Alex Symborski, 70cc SS class, at
Loretta’s and ATVA Series National Champion
1st – Alex Symborski, 90cc Jr. class, at
Loretta’s and ATVA Series National Champion
1st – Bret Musick, 90cc Sr. class, ATVA
National Champion
1st – Chase Horton, 90cc Production class,
at Loretta’s/ATVA Series National Champion
The 50cc Sr. class win for Heath was his second-straight;
Symborski’s won the 70cc SS class three-straight
years now and Horton won the 90cc Jr. class prior
to winning this year’s 90cc production class.
Also, Symborski placed 2nd in the 70cc Modified
class and Heath was 2nd in the 70cc SS class.
Noteworthy is the fact that Heath has won more
races on a Cobra ECX50 than anyone in the history
of 50cc quad racing - three national championships,
1 WPSA title and two ATVA titles! And Symborski
has won more races on Cobra mini quad than any
other racer in Cobra’s production history
– 50cc ATVA in ’06, 70cc SS ATVA in
’07, ’08 and ’09 and 90cc Jr.
ATVA in ’09!
“A big-time congrats from everyone at Cobra
to our mini quad guys this season,” said
Cobra President Sean Hilbert. “It was rewarding
to see all the hard work we put in on our end
at the factory pay off with all the hard work
you guys put in this season racing the ATVA series.”
