Valcourt, Canada (6/24/2007)
- For the second straight round, the Can-AmTM OutlanderTM
650 H.O. EFI ATV was the machine to beat in the
WPSA QuadTerrain Challenge Pro Stock Class. Not
only did the team Warnert/Can-Am racers win both
races as part of a doubleheader weekend, but Outlanders
swept the podium in the second race.
"What a great weekend of racing,"
said Bernard Guy, ATV marketing director at BRP.
"We couldn't have asked for more from our racers,
machines or crew; the hard work we've all put in
throughout the season is really paying off and we
look forward to the rest of the rounds."
Since the Blue Ridge Open Championship
held at the famed Daniel Boone motorsports facility
in London, Ky., was a doubleheader, the racers had
two QTC Pro Stock finals to race. In the first final
of the weekend, Warnert's Scott Kilby took the top
spot with team mate Adam Vaughn taking third.
In the second QTC final of the weekend,
Can-Am Outlander 650s absolutely conquered the course
and swept the podium while taking four of the top
five positions. This race featured Warnert team
mates Chris Borich and Chris Bithell in first and
second respectively and Kilby taking the final podium
spot; Vaughn took fifth.
At the conclusion of five of 10 rounds
Kilby sits on top of the championship points standings.
The next round of the WPSA ATV Tour is another doubleheader
weekend. The GBC Virginia National takes place June
29 through July 1 near Petersburg, Va.
