Valcourt, Canada (9/6/2007)
- Hard work and extra hours training during
the summer paid off for the members of Team
Warnert/Can-AmTM racing. Michael Swift, Cliffton
Beasley and Scott Kilby rode their Can-Am
OutlanderTM ATVs to a sweep of the morning-race
podium at the GEICO Mountain Ridge GNCC near
Somerset, Pa.
“At the outset of the season, we knew
we would be successful on the Can-Am GNCC
circuit,” said Bernard Guy, Can-Am ATV
marketing director, BRP. “We swept the
last GNCC at Snowshoe W.V., and that was beyond
our expectations. To sweep two overall podiums
in a row, however, proves that the power of
the Outlander line of ATVs is tough to beat.”

Swift rode his Outlander 800 to the morning
overall and continued his dominance of the
4x4 Limited class. With four more rounds
to go, Swift has a 28-point lead on second
place. Beasley and Kilby actually tied for
second overall at Mountain Ridge with identical
race times down to a hundredth of a second.
Beasley took top honours in the 4x4 Lites
class aboard his Outlander 500 ATV and leads
the class by four points on fellow Can-Am
rider Jeremie Dudding, who took third in
the class also aboard an Outlander 500.
Kilby beat all the other competitors in
the 4x4 Open class, including his team mate
Rick Cecco who took second; both rode Outlander
800 ATVs. Cecco is second in the class championship,
a mere two points behind the leader.
Riders of Can-Am Outlander ATVs now lead
all 4x4 classes, and occupy seven of the
top nine spots in the 4x4 Open, 4x4 Limited
and 4x4 Lites championship standings. The
next race in the GNCC series is the Can-Am-sponsored
Unadilla GNCC near New Berlin, N.Y., on
September 15th.
