Valcourt, Canada (6/28/2007) -
In what was an unprecedented feat in GNCC racing
history, racers aboard Can-AmTM OutlanderTM ATVs
swept the morning overall race at the Snowshoe GNCC.
Utility-class racers had never swept the overall
podium since utility ATVs started racing GNCC events.
Taking the overall win at the mountain town of
Snowshoe, W.V., was Can-Am X-Team support rider
Jeremy Dudding in the 4x4 Lites class. Dudding
powered his Outlander 500 H.O.TM EFI to the win
in what has been described as one of the toughest
courses in years.
"Pleased doesn't even begin to describe
how I am feeling," said Bernard Guy, ATV
marketing director at BRP. "Our racers accomplished
something many thought impossible, but hard work,
determination and preparation have paid off. I
am proud of our Can-Am racers."
Following Dudding was Can-Am privateer Bryan
Buckhannon who raced an Outlander 800 H.O. EFI
in the competitive 4x4 Open class; Buckhannon
now leads the class points championship. Completing
the overall sweep was team Warnert Racing/Can-Am
rider Michael Swift who was also aboard an Outlander
800. Adding to the sweep was Warnert's Richard
Cecco, who finished fourth overall on his Outlander
800.
The Can-Am GNCC Series now takes its scheduled
break for the summer heat. Racing action returns
to the woods with the Mountain Ridge GNCC near
Somerset, Pa., September 1.
