BRP Can-Am™ is the ATV brand for enthusiasts.
With its 2009 Can-Am line-up, BRP is poised to further
strengthen this position with two new models aimed
squarely at riders who enjoy riding on the track
and on the trail.
| Model updates
for 2009 |
- The powerful liquid-cooled, fuel-injected
799.99cc Rotax® engine found in the
Outlander 800R and Renegade 800R models
is nine-percent more powerful on the top-end
for 2009. The 800R engine features a 0-60
MPH increase of one second over the previous
year's 800 H.O. engine.
- Renegade, DS 250® and Outlanders
all receive graphic updates and new coloration
options
- All Outlander models receive a high-density,
polyethylene injection-molded skidplate
- DS 250 gets a style update with new
headlights

- The Renegade 800R and Renegade 500 models
return with the unique blend of sport
handling and assertive looks, combined
with 4x4 capabilities. The Renegade 800
XTM also returns with its additional package
options for performance and comfort.
- The 2009 Outlander family of award-winning
recreation-utility models returns as the
base of the Can-Am line-up. The Outlander
comes in 800, 650, 500 and 400 engine
sizes – each the most powerful in
its class and each available as a two-rider
Outlander MAX version, an Outlander XT™
value-added package version, and an Outlander
MAX XT version.
- The luxurious Outlander MAX 800R EFI
LTD two-up touring model is back with
its amazing package of factory-installed
features: removable GPS receiver, winch
system, mud guards, cast aluminum wheels,
new Radiant Red Metallic and more.
- BRP’s entry level recreation-utility
ATV, the DS 250, returns with updated
headlights and coloration options to offer
consumers comfortable ergonomics and superb
entry-level performance.
