Clint Roberts finished within the top 10 at Pala WORCS Round 6 |
Corona, CA (7/18/2013) - Team Blingstar took two top ten finishes at the sixth round of the Rocky Mountain ATV MC WORCS race in Pala, California at the Pala Raceway. Nick Nelson raced his Blingstar / Polaris RZR XP 900 to a sixth place finish. Clint Roberts finished ninth in his Blingstar RZR.
Nick Nelson had to charge hard to break into the top ten in the SxS Pro Production class at the beginning of the race. Nelson was in thirteenth on lap one and pushed into eleventh on lap two. He continued to charge and took over seventh on lap four. He moved into the sixth spot on lap five. He remained in sixth until the checkers.
“The track was pretty cool; the dust made the track pretty tricky. My Blingstar Polaris RZR ran great. We put a lot of work into it and added a lot of new parts. I am really happy with how it was running,” said Nelson after the race.

Team Owner and driver, Clint Roberts, finished ninth at the round. Roberts was third off the start; he dropped to eighth on lap one, but rallied and moved into fourth on lap three. The rough track took its toll on Roberts and he got a flat tire on lap four. He was able to keep moving despite the condition and crossed the finish in ninth.
“I went into this race with a strong mind set. I planned to get a finish; my RZR ran awesome. I can’t say enough about the changes we made. My FOX 2.5 shocks, the LSR Stage 2 kit and larger air box were key to how great it was working. If I wouldn’t have gotten a flat, the results would’ve been much better,” regarded Roberts.
The Blingstar Team will be back in action August 9-11 at the Glen Helen Raceway for the seventh round of the WORCS. The racing action will be exciting as both Nelson and Roberts have their Polaris RZR XP 900’s dialed in and will undoubtedly be a threat.
