Springville, TN (7/16/2007)
- In an effort to help the Chris Earlywine
family during their time of need, the July issue of
ATV Racin' Extra will not be handed out free as usual
to all in attendance at the Amsoil Wild Cat Open Championship
round of the WPSA's Powersports ATV Tour in Rossville,
Indiana on July 21st and 22nd. Instead, numerous supporters
of ATV Racin' Extra will be on hand to solicit $2.00
per copy to raise funds for the Chris Earlywine family.
All proceeds
will go directly to the family.
In a statement, David Screws, publisher of ATV
Racin' Extra said. "We have always been about
the people of ATV racing and although we've been
distributed free at numerous venues across the United
States for years, we felt that we would call on
the people of our family to help Nikki, her son
Caleb, and the remainder of the Earlywine family
by selling copies in Indiana. Chris was an avid
enthusiast and promoter of the sport of ATV racing
and this is the least we can do to help them in
their time of need as we've done for others in the
past. Just a few weeks before Chris passed away,
he and his family were instrumental in helping raise
funds for the Bobby Sharp family at the Daniel Boone
round of the WPSA. Now it's our time to help them."
Screws went on to add, "Already, the mechanics
of Team
Rockstar, MSR, Pro Taper, Suzuki, Yoshimura have
purchased 100 copies to show their support for the
Earlywine family. We want to thank them for stepping
up so quickly and expressing their concern and willingness
to help their fellow members of the ATV racing family."
Chris Earlywine, 39, of Kentucky, recently passed
away of an apparent heart attack while practicing
for a race at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg,
VA.
