2007 Finalized ATVA National Motocross Schedule

Pickerington, OH (12/18/06) - There has been plenty of speculation about the 2007 ATVA National Motocross schedule after an alternative version of the schedule was released briefly on atvmotocross.com just under a week ago, which left many wondering if Echeconnee Off-Road Park would be removed from the race schedule for 2007. Today, the ATVA re-released the 2007 schedule, which remained unchanged from its original release in September. To the delight of many racers, Echeconnee Off-Road Park will remain on the race schedule for 2007 and the race promoter for the event is yet to be determined.

By popular demand, the 2007 race schedule has been shortened from 14 to 12 rounds, and the opening round of the series will kick off back on the East coast in Pell City, Alabama at Mill Creek. The “Alabama Slammer” Keith Little claimed the overall win last year at Mill Creek, and he will certainly be back in 2007 looking for a repeat performance in front of his hometown crowd.

California and Texas Rounds are pushed back to the end of March, which will provide for much more comfortable conditions for racing than in the past, and Loretta Lynn's is once again the final round of the series with the season wrapping up on August 11-12th.

There aren't any new venues on the schedule for 2007, but the three new 2006 locations (Mill Creek in Pell City, Alabama, Ballance Moto X in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Sunset Ridge in Walnut, Illinois) all remain on the 2007 schedule after receiving rave reviews from the racers.

Before you know it, the starting gate will drop at Mill Creek in Pell City, AL, so don't delay in marking your calendar and begin planning for the 2007 race season.
