Muddy Creek gets Bowled and Ramped
for the ATVA MX Series
Round 9: Jun 30 - Jul 1, Blountville,
TN
Blountville, TN (6/25/2007) - Muddy
Creek Raceway is taking on a new face for the upcoming
ITP/MOOSE Racing ATVA National motocrossevent coming
June 30-July 1. In an effort to make the track more
fun and ATV friendly most of the turns and jumps are
getting changes.
Several of the flat turns have now taken on the face
of a bowl. This allows the riders several options for
the first time at Muddy Creek.Riders can carry more
speed and run high around the turn, or slow somewhat
and protect the inside line. Rider style and machine
setup will dictate which line riders choose, but this
should offer better racing.
Additionally several of the jumps have been reramped
to give the ATVs additional lift. In some cases this
will allow riders to clear additional jumps, whoops,
or tabletops. ATVs are somewhat heavier than motorcycles
and track setup plays an important part in howmuch side
by side racing goes on at an ATV event. All jumps will
remain well rounded to keep the track as safe as possible.
The Victory Sports staff is making every effort to give
riders several options for passing in their effort to
win a national championship.
