Houtzdale, PA (7/7/06) –Today at
6:45AM, John Natalie Jr. under went surgery on his left
hand at the State College University Orthopedic Hospital,
and Dr. Ellis was successful in reattaching the bone fragment
with three pins to Natalie’s thumb. The pins will
remain in place for 3-4 weeks, and Natalie Jr is expected
to be back to racing just in time for the final rounds
of the WPSA Series at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park
in Englishtown, NJ on August 19-20th, and the last round
of the ATVA MX Nationals at Ballance Moto X in Bowling
Green, KY on September 3rd.
Despite having three pins inserted into his hand on
his 31st birthday, John Natalie Jr remains in good spirits,
but unfortunately, he will not be able to make it out
to the WPSA race in Taylorville, IL as originally expected
because he is just not up to traveling anywhere this
weekend, but he will be at the next round of the ATVA
MX Nationals in Walnut, IL at the Sunset Ridge MX Park
on July 15-16th.
Since John wasn’t going to be able to make it
to Illinois this weekend, here is a short message from
John Natalie Jr.
“First,
I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes,
and I can’t wait to get back to the track to see
everyone. As you all know, I won’t be able to
ride for the for the next couple of weeks, but I will
still continue to jog and train as much as I can, so
I will be in the best condition possible for when I
return to riding and racing.
I
plan on wrapping up the 2006 season by racing in the
final rounds of the ATVA Motocross Nationals and the
WPSA Series. Also, I plan on racing in the final three
GNCC races for some extra seat time.
For
2007, I plan on coming back faster and stronger than
ever, so I can regain the ATV Motocross National Champions
that I came so close to winning again this year before
my accident at Steel City.
Thanks
again to all my fans for their support and of course
my sponsors Honda, Maxxis, Shift, Elka, HMF, Rage Racing,
and the many other great companies that have supported
me through 2006.
