Pheonix, AZ (12/20/2009)
- The crowds came out for The Arizona
Dirt & Sand Expo and Super Swap at the Arizona
State Fairgrounds last weekend. With the threat
of rain for the weekend, the crowds still lined
the fence on Saturday morning to get into the
show and take advantage of the deals behind
the gates. “The Arizona crowd is always
fun to be around,” said Chris Cahill from
Twisted Stitch.
“Saturday was a good day, people were
buying more for themselves than for their
Christmas shopping list though,” laughed
Adam Bass from Big Belly Crew. The atmosphere
was fun and light with multiple vendors that
had the Christmas specials available.
Promoter Andy Myers changed the format this
year to a SuperSwap after 7 years of formal
trade shows to adjust for the industry needs
and the shift in the economic times. “We
think this was a successful show,” said
show manager Nathaniel Mata. “Now that
people see the layout, it will get bigger
and bigger each year. We certainly appreciate
all the vendors support that we got for this
event!”
