Arctic Cat Builds Utility Quads
That are Race Ready

Thief River Falls, MN (7/17/06) - Arctic
Cat, manufacturer of World Class ATVs and snowmobiles
has been ripping up the track in the World PowerSports
ATV Tour. The new QuadTerrain Challenge series has people
looking differently at Arctic Cat since their support
riders; led by Daryl Rath (No. 67) is leading the point’s
race.
What have they learned?
Wainer goes on to say, “We found our strong points
were the most important parts of an ATV. Arctic Cat
builds our ATVs to be rugged, with class leading ground
clearance and the only Fully Independent Suspension
(FIS) on the market. In the past six races we’ve
learned our Arctic Cat-built 650 H1s and 700 EFI’s
could be considered “race ready”. I can
guarantee we are the only team racing on the original
stock frames we started the series with. They have not
cracked, or been gusseted like other OEMs. This is a
true testament of Arctic Cat’s durability when
riding through the monstrous logs, rocks and mud.”
Cat Riders to Watch
Daryl Rath (No. 67) is currently leading the point’s
standings in the Pro Stock class, with additional support
from Jesse West (No. 888), Kevin Johnston (No. 225),
Ken Robey ( No. 219) and Joe Duncan (No. 220).
Rath comments, “The Arctic Cat’s are extremely
durable. It’s nice knowing you have a race machine
under you that won’t break. You can push the Arctic
Cat’s that much harder in the rough stuff.”
Duncan, currently fourth in the Pro Stock standings
says, “I’m running a new Arctic Cat 700
EFI 4x4. Our laps have been much more consistent, and
it’s obvious this quad is competitive out of the
box. I couldn’t be happier.”
