#123 Nick DeNoble Claims Pro-Am Production
ATV Win at Muddy Creek |
Blountville, TN (7/8/2008)
- Pro-Am Production class racer, Nick DeNoble
claimed his first AMA ATV Motocross Nationals
overall win of the season at round seven
in Bountville, TN, which puts him in 2nd
place of the points race with only 11 points
separating him from the lead position.
Despite a crash the week before, DeNoble
was looking good during Friday’s practice
and continued to stay strong when the gate
dropped for Sunday’s race. Nick came
off the line in 2nd but claimed the lead
over Travis Moore by lap number five. “I
got a little more pressure than I though
I would get from Mitch Reynolds and Josh
Williams. I was battling with Josh in the
last lap, but I won the first moto,”
said Nick.

In moto two, DeNoble took the holeshot,
but was passed by Cody Gibson, which began
a heated battle for 1st, as the two continued
to swap places. “I got past Thomas
Brown and Clay Holmes and got the holeshot,
which is the first time I’ve got the
holeshot, then Cody got by me and we started
battling,” Nick explained. The battle
would continue for two laps before Gibson
would eventually pull away. “I had
to be careful and chose my lines well because
I knew I had to take second to get the overall
win,” said Nick. Soon DeNoble was
feeling the pressure from Yamaha’s
Thomas Brown, but DeNoble kept his cool
and held off Brown all the way to the finish
line to take his 1st Pro-Am Production overall
win of the season. “It’s really
a big confidence booster that’s for
sure, especially after the bad luck I’ve
had the last couple of rounds,” he
stated. “Getting an overall win was
a personal goal of mine and I finally got
it,” Nick said. “I have to thank
all of my sponsors and my Mom and Dad, they
all have really helped me out a lot this
year,” he concluded.
With round eight quickly approaching, Nick
DeNoble is hoping to once again put his
#123 Honda in the winner’s circle
in order to try to take over the points
lead and claim his first Pro-Am Production
championship
