David Frye Injury Update from Mill Creek ATV Motocross National

David Frye
Pell City, Al (4/4/2008) - This past weekend at the Pell City National David Frye had horrible crash in practice where he came up short on a triple. His father Chris said "I was watching from behind he panic rev'd then bailed I could not see how he landed, I think the bike back tires clipped and shot up has he was going down, the face part of helmet was broke as well as visor, it knocked the lens out of his goggles. Somehow there is a softball size area of paint gone from the back of his helmet and its broke along the mold crease. The damage to head is on lh side between temple and ear. They say I'm in for along haul, weeks or maybe months". The doctors had to remove some of the left side of his skull to reduce the pressure on his brain, from what I've heard he seems to be doing a bit better now. I quote his father again as of April 3rd, "They are removing the pressure monitor out of head, that means no more swelling! He has another cat scan monday morning. The last one looked good according to the suregeon. He seems to like to read the get well cards you all send him. He seems to repond well. I think were are still another 10-14 days away from even gettting a chance to talk about moving him. You can go online to www.trinitymedicalonline.com for get well cards or snail mail to:

thanks again everyone"

I personally know David Frye and his family help out whoever they can on and off the track. David is a funny guy and gives great racing advice. In an attempt to help ease the impending medical bills Jason Kelley (#813) and his family are having Livestrong style bracelets that say "David Frye #2" made and they are selling them for $5.50 each to help with the medical bills. To help show support among the ATV racing community you can send $5.50 and a SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE to

The Kelleys

For anymore info you can email Jason Kelley at j_kelley813@hotmail.com
