2013 AMA National Hare & Hound Racing Series Season Opener

-In just 2 weeks, the 2013 AMA/FMF/GPR National Hare & Hound Championship Series will kick off in huge fashion in Johnson Valley OHV, Ca!
Round 1 of the 2013 series will be hosted by the Desert Motorcycle Club for their 46th Annual "Winter Classic". This year's course(s) will be very different from what racers are used to. There will be two separate loops for the different classes. There will be an 80-mile loop, with the gas/pit stop at mid-way (off Boone Rd) and there will be a separate 40-mile loop for the one-loop classes. The host club has been working many months to bring the racers something different, challenging, and fun! Please see the attached flyer for more info (below).
For the first time, 2013 will mark the first year of the AMA Youth National Hare & Hound Championship Series! The young boys and girls of our future will have a chance to race for a championship title at the end of the year, while earning points at each round. These races will take place either the day prior to the big bikes or the morning of. There will be a bomb run, dead-engine start, pit row, and the pro guys will be helping out and waving the banners. The series is sponsored by District 37, Kenda and Fasst Co. The young riders will receive trophies and other goodies at each round. Round 1 for the kids will take place on Saturday January 26th at 11am. Please see attached flyer for more info (below).

The action heated up in the ATV classes in 2012! With 20+ ATV's showing up for these events, the men and women on 4 wheels would push their limits and have some great battles all year long. The 2011 Champ, Andy Lagzdins, would have his hands full going into the last few rounds. With some new "fast guys" showing up to race, Lagzdins would have to push the envelope to wrap up his points chase and be crowned Champion once again for 2012.
Joining the series for 2013 will be Pro baja racer, Josh Caster, and Pro motorcross racer and arm wrestler, Fasst Co's Colt Brinkerhoff. With some new pro quad racers and fast District 37 racers attempting their fate for a championship in 2013, the new season is going to be a good one!
