Tyler Hamrick earned his second win of the season in the Pro Am Class at Unadilla Motocross

Morgantown, WV (7/19/2013) - Going into Round 8 of the AMA ATV MX Nationals at Unadilla Tyler Hamrick was sitting 11th in Pro points just 7 points outside the top ten. In the Pro Am Class, Tyler Hamrick still sat in 8th looking to redeem himself from his previous weekend at Steel City.

Unadilla made some pretty sweet changes to the track this year so Hamrick was excited to get geared up and put down some laps. Both qualifiers Tyler Hamrick came out 11th.

Putting him on the left side of the box Tyler came out in 14th. Throughout the Moto he moved forward picking racers off finishing 10th. The second moto was similar to the first, Hamrick came out in about 11th. There was a good battle between a group of riders in which Hamrick ended up finishing in 9th, for a 10th overall and still outside the top 10 in the points race.

Sunday in Pro Am Tyler was back on his Hamrick Racing / Baldwin Motorsports ride looking to make up some points. Hamrick was in heat 2, coming off the line in 3rd. Passed into 2nd and 3rd quickly and begin to set the cruise. Eventually he would have a run for his money but was able to hold off the pressure to the finish line for a Moto 1 win. In the second Moto, Hamrick came out in 3rd once again and would stick close to the battle over first the entire Moto. With 2 laps left the leaders had switched positions meaning all Hamrick had to do was get around 2nd for the overall.

On the last lap, the 726 pulled the trigger and was able to secure 2nd place in the Moto and take home the overall. Hamrick is now one of two riders to win two races in the Pro Am class and is tied for 6th in points after skipping the first 3 rounds of racing!
