2011 Arctic Cat TRV550 GT & TRV700 GT ATV Introduction

Arctic Cat pioneered the concept of an ATV built to carry two riders in tandem. For 2011 the success of the TRV lineup has been expanded with two new GT models that feature power steering. Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS) allows steering assistance to the ATV before it even starts to move at idle. This is a huge benefit to conserving the rider’s input energy when in 4WD, and especially when the differential lock is engaged. The brightly lit half-analog, half-digital display will keep you in the know with 14 critical indicators for your trail ride, or your work Arctic Cat EPS will reduce the torque necessary to steer the ATV when changing direction with loaded racks or navigating tough obstacles like rocks, deep mud or logs. The variable assist system is driven by an electronic control unit (ECU) that measures steering input force versus tire resistance and vehicle speed then provides appropriate assist to the steering column through an electric motor. The Arctic Cat power steering ECU program is designed to maintain a light steering input effort, but maintains enough feel so you have a better understanding of what the tire contact patch is doing in relation to the terrain. Arctic Cat EPS keeps the rider and the ATV connected—giving you an edge which is lost on competitive units after sustained riding. The aluminum wheels that come standard on the TRV GT Models will set you apart from the rest of the crowd & keep you securely planted to the ground The TRV has numerous features to ease riding convenience. Chief among them is a two-up seat with cushioned seat back for legal trail riding. Improved ergonomics and an easy pin-pull removal system allow you to transform the TRV into a single- rider vehicle. Passengers will appreciate integrated footrests for smooth and secure footing. An all-encompassed electronic 2WD/4WD/Differential Lock switch on the right hand control makes going in/out of 4WD or Diff Lock an easier process.
