ATV Introduction
|
The Thundercat 1000 returns
in two models for 2010, but still lays claim
to the sport’s largest displacement ATV
in the industry.
Designed and manufactured by Arctic Cat,
the H2 engine is a V-Twin, SOHC, liquid
cooled, 951cc, Electronic Fuel Injection
(EFI) four stroke, built for massive torque
and serious arm stretching power. Arctic
Cat engineers crafted this torque-tuned
motor for ultimate acceleration.

Last year the push-button 2wd/4wd system was
introduced with an all-new electronic front
locking differential that was controlled via
a push-button rocker switch on the gauge pod.
For 2010 a brand new all-encompassed electronic
2WD/4WD/Differential Lock switch on the right
hand controlmakes going in/out of 4WD or Diff
Lock an easier process.
The stance and ride-in suspension are
race-bred and performance-calibrated with
11" of ground clearance and 10" of suspension
travel. All that horsepower works in harmony
with a lengthened 2" wheelbase for optimized
control, cornering and high speed handling.
GreenMetallic (LE) and Black Metallic
painted bodywork can be waxed and buffed.
Awinch comes standard on the LE,while front/rear
SpeedRacks has a 100/200-lb. rack capacity.
12" aluminumwheelswrapped with aggressive
25" Maxxis 4-Speed cap off both packages.
