QuadRacer LT 250R ATV Project Build

Duncan
Racing outfitted the Suzuki QuadRacer with
a full Paul Turner Fat Boy 2 exhaust and
Powerhead that amplifies the classic 2-stroke
sound |
Lastly the quad was greatly in need of a new
facelift and the folks from Maier MFG graciously
supplied a new set of plastic for front and rear.
In an attempt to keep the machine looking as stock
as possible, Duncan decided to maintain the original
front hood giving the machine that classic LT
250R look. Unfortunately, Suzuki has discontinued
the original decals for the 1991 so this machine
was clothed with 1992 graphics.

A
combination of a Work Connection clutch
perch and Duncan Racing parking brake block
off plate freed up clutter from the Renthal
Handlebars for a cleaner look |
A few more niceties were ITP Holeshot tires mounted
on DWT aluminum wheels and Renthal handled the
control issues with a pair of Fourtrax bend bars
and handgrips. Works Connection made clutch pull
a cinch with their Elite perch system. As is the
case with nearly every Duncan build, the crew
mounted a DR chrome front bumper to round out
the cosmetic package.

Cahuilla Creek MX was the perfect place
to test out the Suzuki QuadRacer LT 250R
ATV Project Build |
We hauled the newly restored Suzuki QuadRacer
LT 250R out to Southern California’s Cahuilla
Creek MX Park to put some laps in and see how
she ran. The LT 250R felt strong throughout the
track and handled just like it should. It was
a great feeling to be aboard a piece of history.
Duncan Racing did a great job of bringing the
old machine back to life! If you have a classic
two stroke you’re thinking about freshening
up, give the guys at Duncan Racing a call. They’ve
got everything you’ll need and decades of
experience building world leading two and four
stroke ATVs.
