Offroad sells turn key buggy cars at a starting
price of $22, 368 with a 600cc engine, but
it can come with a Hayabusa 1300cc engine
for an additional $3,000 |
After building and selling the first two off-road
cars my brother and I were admiring the way the
buggy IRS landed off jumps and my brother said “we
should put IRS on ATV’s” We sat on the
idea for about a year until Polaris came out with
the IRS outlaw. At that point I filed for the patent
and I designed and built the first prototype.
After two years of testing and tuning we
had a retrofit IRS kit for sport ATV’s that
was extremely competitive. During our design and
tuning fazes we figured out how to make IRS handle
like a formula car and the key was in the anti
roll bars. I came up with the patent pending over
tube design because I needed an extremely durable
design that could withstand extreme conditions
and long travel without breaking. No other known
design would hold up and the Sonic Edge Anti-roll
bar was born.

Offroad's ATV IRS Kit was a great design,
but its price tag kept it from selling |
The IRS kits never showed to be a great seller
because it is very expensive. The anti roll bars
on the other hand have proven to increase ride stability
and turning ability on all ATV’s and is now
our best seller.
We have found it to be important to have
roll stability in all ATV’s if you want
them to handle in the corners. We have also found
it to be important to have balanced front and
rear roll as well. This is why for your IRS ATV’s
it is important to have both front and rear anti
roll bars. The rear will help you steer and stop
your ATV from pushing while exiting corners. The
front will stop you from diving and keep you more
stable in the corners and on off camber terrain.

The
Sonic Edge ATV Anti roll System installed
on a Pro ATV Racer's, Nick DeNoble, Honda
TRX 450R |
For straight axle ATV’s you have an extremely
soft rolling front end and a rear with almost no
roll at all. We can balance this with a front anti
roll bar. The anti roll bar will stop your dive
in the corners and add traction to the rear exiting
corners. You will also be able to keep a more central
riding position because you won’t have to
hang off the bike so far to fight the roll. This
makes your reaction time faster and you can even
soften your suspension up to absorb the strait on
bumps because you don’t have to worry about
your shocks limiting roll in the corners.
We offer the anti-roll bar for the front of
all sport ATV’s and for the rear of the Honda
700xx, Polaris outlaw IRS and the Polaris sportsman
rear.
