Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks
::Continued::
Not only was Rally on the Rocks about having
good time, but they also took the time to preserve
the trails for future generations. Discount Tires
teamed up with Tread Lightly and Camp Chef to
promote responsible trail riding and preservation
of the beautiful determination towers.

Discount
Tires, Camp Chef, and Tread Lightly teamed
up to build a fence in front of the Determination
towers during the Rally on the Rocks |
“Last year we did some fundraising with Discount
Tires and Rally on the Rocks and we turned those
funds around into the project for this year,”
said Dianne Olsen with Tread Lightly. The funds
were put into fencing around the determination
towers to prevent unneeded destruction from people
driving on them. “The message of Tread Lightly
and promoting stewardship of off- road lands for
future generations is something that is super
important to us and near and dear to our heart,”
stated Mark MacGuinness with Discount Tires.

Camp
Chef sponsored a great lunch for all the
volunteers that came out to help build the
fence |
Volunteers came out to help construct the fencing
around the determination towers, and were rewarded
with lunches provided by Camp Chef. A custom built
trailer was mounted to the back of a side by side
equipped with a grill and generator. According
to Steve from Camp Chef, “It is important to us
because we are all outdoor enthusiasts and it
is important to protect our own outdoors, especially
in our own backdoor of Utah. Camp Chef tries to
be as involved as we can in events such as this.”
Volunteers were, without a doubt, thankful for
the lunches graciously provided by Camp Chef.
As a bonus, the Camp Chef trailer even doubled
as a rescue trailer in case someone was injured.
It was really a great all purpose trailer.
This years Rally on the Rocks started off great
on Wednesday with beautiful weather. However,
rain settled in on Thursday and Friday, which
made the trails a little more challenging. The
slick rocks became that much slicker, but the
UTV drivers stuck it out. Despite the less then
ideal conditions and cooler temperatures it was
a very entertaining event and everyone in attendance
enjoyed themselves. Participants also enjoyed
evening activities, prizes, goodie bag giveaways,
and magazines provided by ATV & SxS Insider.

thousands
of people annually attend the Rally on the
Rocks & it continues to grow each year |
This event is growing larger and larger each
year. With a show of hands done it was incredible
to see just how many new participants the event
attracted. It has grown larger then they ever
expected and actually had to be limited on the
number of people allowed to participate. Anyone
interested in attending the 2016 Rally on the
Rocks event, which is scheduled for May 10-15th,
so be sure to register today before all the spaces
are filled up.
