Glamis Sand Dunes, CA (11/4/2013) - One
of the first places the UTV culture took hold
was in the desert Southwest, where the sweeping
dunes of Glamis provide the ultimate playground
for any UTV enthusiast. Polaris has recognized
this and put together the Camp RZR events to celebrate
its consumers. It was also the perfect place for
them to provide the opportunity for a test drive
in the new 2014 Polaris RZR XP4 1000 four seat
high performance SxS.

Halloween is usually the kick off for dune
season in Glamis where as many as 120,000 people
will congregate. While last year’s Camp RZR
was held on New Year’s, this year it was decided
that Halloween would be the perfect time for
the event.

The idea of Camp RZR began as a tribute to
Polaris consumers in the Southwest where the
RZR culture is strongest and is viewed by Polaris
as an opportunity to give back to its loyal
consumer base to let them know they are appreciated
and perhaps add a few more fans in the process.

“What better way to pay tribute to the people
than put on a big event, and Halloween is the
unofficial kickoff to dune season, so what better
way to kick it off with something as big as
Camp RZR,” said Jason DiFuccia, Polaris Marketing
Manager.

Thursday and featured many giveaways, entertainment,
fireworks, and free food. On the first day of
the event this year, Polaris handed out over
3000 free hotdogs before the day was even half
over.
