Crockettsville, Kentucky - 450
ATV’s, UTV’s, Motorcycles and at least
one hybrid offroad machine that looked to feature
a small block Chevy, a few of the worlds largest
country music stars, 25,000 screaming fans and a
leisurely trail ride. Where you ask? No not in the
dunes, at least not this weekend! No sir, this event
would be in Hazard Kentucky and is known as the
Halfway to Hazard Charity Concert and Trail ride,
now in its second year of providing this small coal
mining community a few days in the spotlight as
money is raised to support the Buckhorn Children’s
center.

Over 25,000 people
came out to the 2nd Annual Halfway to Hazard
Charity Ride & Concert
|
In its first year, the event would draw some
7500 fans for the concert portion of the weekend
and that number would be shattered at this year’s
event. The chance to see the headliner Tim McGraw
for a paisley $10 was a bargain for many, and
knowing that the funds would go completely to
charity sure put a smile on many faces. McGraw
wasn’t the only super star on hand as Dierks
Bentley would perform along with Halfway to Hazard,
the band founded in Hazard and bent to keep things
at home with this event!

for the fans |
With a solid line up of local and global stars
performing throughout the day, fans could prowl
the midway area and scope out new ATV’s,
UTV’s and gear to get themselves ready for
Sundays ride. An outdoor venue that had an incredibly
built center stage would serve as ground zero
as the day wore on. Bluegrass filled the air as
folks assembled for the main event and the entertainment
was top notch! Families spread out to watch the
show could enjoy a family oriented event while
supporting a good cause and partaking in an event
that actually supported our love for offroading.
