Harrisburg, PA (2/7/2014) – The
2014 Great American Outdoor Show will carry on its
65-year tradition this year by hosting, what is
now, the largest consumer sports & outdoor show
in the world. The nine-day Great American Outdoor
Show runs from February 1-9, 2014 and is hosted
by the NRA.
Taking place at Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg, PA, the Great American Outdoor Show covers an impressive 650,000 square feet of exhibit hall space with over 1,000 exhibitors. The show attracts hundreds of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts from around the world who come to check out the latest hunting, fishing, camping, and boating exhibits, as well as daily seminars, demonstrations, and entertainment.
We had a chance to attend this year’s Great American Outdoor Show earlier this week to check out what its all about. Although we could only stay for one day, we did get to see many new products and services that many vendors had to offer.

Nearly
every major gun & bow manufacturer was
in attendance for the Great Amaerican Outdoor
Show, and they even had a bow shooting range
to test out products |
Some companies that we had a chance to check
out were Cabela’s, Mossberg, Parker, TireJect,
Level Lock, and Super ATV, just to name a few.
There were also many off-road vehicle manufacturers
at the Great American Outdoor Show, including
Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Polaris.

Cabela's had their new Color Phase
Hunting gear that changes from Green to
Brown depending on the temperature |
Cabela’s took the camouflage game to a whole
new level with their introduction of their Color
Phase hunting gear, which is the world’s first
camouflage that changes with the temperature. In
mild temperatures, the camouflage will show vivid
greenery of early-season or spring foliage. If you
wear the gear in colder weather, the camouflage
will actually turn to darker shades of brown to
blend in with late-season surroundings.
With the ever-growing popularity of the Duck
Dynasty TV Show, Mossberg chose to partner up
with Duck Commander and came out with a line of
shotguns that were built to the Robertson's Family
preferences. The shotguns come wrapped in camo
and even come with an American flag bandana that
Willie Robertson wears in the show.

Mossberg
partnered with Duck Commander to make a
line of shotguns, which even comes with
American Flag bandanna like the one Willie
Robertson wears on Duck Dynasty |

The Parker Concorde Quick Draw System Crossbow uses a CO2 tank to draw back the bow |
Parker was on hand at the 2014 Great American Outdoor
Show with one of their latest innovations in crossbow
technology. Their Concorde Quick Draw System allows
shooters to draw back the bow without lifting a
finger. Thanks to its CO2 tank integration, which
is exactly what comes on a Paintball Gun, the bow
is drawn back with air pressure. This bow is ideal
for the elderly or those who do not necessarily
have the upper body strength to draw back the bow.
