Brimstone Recreation Area Huntsville, Tennessee August 31 - September 2, 2012 Story & Photos: Dave Smith

With Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday all finished the weekend was a real nice get away from reality and a true fun weekend.  While out and about on the trails over the week end I came across all types of vehicles and all ages of attendees. 

There were many tricked out machines to be seen at the Brimstone Recreation Area	The Brimstone ATV & SxS Girls were on hand selling raffle tickets for prizes

One thing they all had in common was a large smile on their faces.  The nearly 20,000 acres has literally every type of terrain you could imagine from easy open rides to some gnarly winch type riding up and over some pretty large rocks.

There were many ATV & SxS entries in the Brimstone SxS & ATV Roundup Mud Bog

From last year to this year, there was new primitive camp grounds added by the river that seemed quite popular and busy every time I passed by.  Also new for this year was a MX track that was added at Trails End Camp area.  Most of the younger attendees gathered at this facility and worked their magic on the race track.

One thing I almost forgot to mention was the great food served at this event with the vendors.  I had a baked potato that was filled with pork, cheese, onions, sour cream and topped with BBQ sauce that I will have again next time I return.  See you at the track again real soon
