Brimstone Recreation Area White Knuckle ATV & SxS / UTV Riding Event Huntsville, Tennessee May 25-27, 2013

Huntsville, Tennessee – Happening every year around Memorial Day weekend the Brimstone recreation White Knuckle Event kicks off summer riding in the hills of Tennessee with a bang. Mark Love and his Daughter Erika coordinate not only extremely fun events for everyone but great entertainment as well. Even though the 2013 WKE was not the first for ATVriders.com we will share with you why we think it should be added to anyone’s list that is in need of a full weekend of adventure.

There were many vendors at the annual 2013 White Knuckle ATV & SxS / UTV Riding Event at Brimstone Recreation Area in Huntsville, Tennessee

 The event was just a little different this year as the main events, as well as all of the competition was held off the mountain and down in the valley. Friday saw hundreds of riders and campers swarm into the low land at the base of river road and headed out onto the trails before the night’s concerts began. The amount of off road parts vendors this year was impressive and many well-known companies came out to support this annual event. If you needed tires, GBC was on hand to help and the same went for wheels, lights, bumpers and winches. There were even several on site mechanics to help repair your machine when your talent ran out. Eating seems to be something we all do at one point during the day and with many different choices even the picky diets could be satisfied.

One Lucky winner won a new Kawasaki Teryx 4 SxS / UTV at the 2013 White Knuckle ATV & SxS / UTV Riding Event

Affectionately known as the Kawasaki Wild Mountain Rampage this years events would culminate into the win of a Kawasaki Teryx4 UTV. Every entrant to any event would get a select number of entry cards. The chances to win more of those cards would be found in the racing and endurance challenge events as well as the Mud bog. If you enter you get two cards and if you win you get an additional five cards. Its like getting lotto tickets because the prize was a four seat Kawasaki Teryx4 worth more than $13,000. This machine was also to be given away at the event Saturday night.

No matter what kind of ATV or SxS / UTV you have there was a class for you in the drag races at Brimstone Recreation

The Kawasaki Wild Mountain Rampage started off with a trip down the drag strip. It wasn’t a place for the timid as many spectators gathered to cheer on their favorite and any underdog they could point out. Racing in all forms is a staple in the White Knuckle Event that draws competitors from all over the United States. With several classes and many types of racing, anyone can get in on the action. Starting off with a drag race gave each full challenge competitor a chance to size up his or her foes for the day and it did not matter what type of machine you had, there was a class for you.

From a 2WD bone stock Honda TRX250 ATV to a full race KTM sport quad and even side by sides the organizers made sure each class was competitive and fair, or at least they tried. Let us mention first off that the crew that runs the entire racing segment for the WKE event was all volunteers. This may not seem unusual but if you caught a glimpse of how much work these people put into it you might wonder just what they were thinking when they answered yes to the call. The key is they love what they do.
