Ballance Racing GNCC & Motocross ATV Training School Review
::CONTINUED::

Ballance Racing's ATV Riding school students gathered to learn about cornering

A small section of field would serve as another area to hopefully test and teach some cornering that was slated to be done on the MX track. The corners reminded me quickly of how slick and challenging the corners can be at many of the GNCC events. It was far from what the trainers had planned however it was having some impact for several riders who showed almost an immediate improvement. The day would draw to a close with a brilliant sunset that had everyone's hopes set on Sunday being an all out assault on the training.

Shell Gas Station - Rain Clouds
Sunday morning more rain rolled in that made training outside impossible
When it rains it pours and we faced storms throughout the night that put the whammy on any training that we could have done on day two. An early morning meeting soon had everyone in agreement that there just wasn't any point in attempting anything that wasn't indoors. Bill and his crew quickly stated that everyone was invited back to the August training weekend at no charge. The door prizes and drawings would help ease the pain, especially for Lee Riley who won a new Yamaha generator! Others left with some gear bags and backpacks as a reminder that August would be here in no time.

It sure sounded like they had a lot planned as things that were unable to take place were laid out to everyone. From being at other types of pro level training, there was not much they had not planned on covering, both for mx and xc riding. What I did see was a good deal of attention being paid to every rider and no questions going unanswered. I have a feeling that if we had been able to stay on the bars for both days that the trainers would have really shined. With this much talent on hand, one would be hard pressed to not get some hands on expert advice on every aspect of riding and machine set up.
