2015 Arctic Cat 1000 XT Introduction

When you need the delivery of the ultimate rush of performance, look no further than the 1000 XT: a high performance 4x4 purpose-built for speed and torque whether railing the trails or overcoming the largest obstacles.

The hallmark of this machine is its 951cc Arctic Cat H2 V-Twin 4-stroke engine with Electronic Fuel Injection. Unmatched in arm-stretching power and acceleration, the H2 gives you more power for whenever you need it.

Feeding this power to the meaty tires is the Duramatic Automatic transmission with High, Low and Reverse (plus the convenience of start-ingear). A special Spike Load Dampener in the rear differential provides dampening to high loads for reduced driveline wear. And electronic 2WD/4WD and full-lock differential selectability is a handy feature in varying conditions.

For all-day riding ease the 1000 XT comes with Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS). The system delivers steering assistance that begins at engine idle and provides significantly reduced steering effort when in 4WD, especially when the differential lock is engaged. The result is a light steering input effort, but with enough feedback so the rider senses the tire contact patch in relation to the terrain.

Its class-leading suspension featuring 10 inches of travel with 5-position shock adjustability matched by 11 inches of ground clearance and the confidence that comes with narrow bodywork and a low ride-height. A 52-inch wheelbase contributes to smoother handling and matches the power characteristics of the 1000 XT engine.
