La Crosse, WI (4/2/2018) - Root
River Racing’s Pro ATV Motocross rider Dylan Tremellen
overcame visibility problems to finish 14th overall
in the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship
race at South of the Border MX in Hamer, SC.
Tremellen had issues in qualifying that limited
his gate pick in the motos. In the first moto,
he came out third, but got punted off the track
and restarted 15th. With limited passing opportunities
on the dirt-bike track, Tremellen made it back
to 11th.

In the second moto, Tremellen used his RAGE ATV
engine combined with Hoosier Tires and Motowoz
shocks to get a fast start, but again got hemmed
in by several other riders at the start. He finished
14th.
“In the first moto, I was about third at the
start, but got knocked off the track,” explained
Tremellen. “I went from 15th to 11th. In the second
moto, I got bunched up in the first turn and had
to check up. So I again had to come from the back.
I had some visibility issues, so I just tried
to ride safe. I’ll be training for the next three
weeks to get ready for Texas. I’ll be ready to
go.
Outfitted in custom Canvas MX gear, with EKS
goggles, and Deft Family gloves, Tremellen also
has several new components on his Honda. This
year his ride features a JB Lowering Kit, Beringer
Brakes and Precision handlebar clamps, and his
helmet, bike and trailer are stickered up in FTR
decals.
The big game changer for Tremellen this year
is the RAGE engine. He said it’s only a matter
of time before they get the combination right
and start snagging holeshots.
Tremellen and the rest of the Root River team
will return to action April 14-15 at Underground
MX in Kemp, TX.
