Las Vegas, NV (3/22/2017) - STV
Motorsports’ Doug Eichner drove his Yamaha
to victory in the WORCS Pro Stock SXS race
in Lake Havasu City, AZ. While Eichner has
scored several podium finishes recently, It
marked Eichner’s first win in WORCS modern
era.

Eichner overcame characteristically rough
conditions and took the legendary lagoon jump
on every lap to net the victory. Eichner,
a five-time WORCS Pro ATV Champion, drove
a smooth race and took the lead on lap six,
when both the first and second-place runners
had issues.
“I’m glad to get the Polaris off the top
of the podium and put the Yamaha where it
belongs,” quipped Eichner. “I could see them
in front of me, I came around a corner and
they were gone. I didn’t know what was going
on, so I just kept pushing. I had no idea
I had the lead. It’s a huge win for me. It’s
been quite awhile since I’ve been on top of
the box.”

He said the complexity of SXS machines requires
significant preparation. Along with the hard
work by STV Motorsports, he relied on some
of the best parts in the industry to keep
his Yamaha running up front.
“Havasu is always one of the roughest and
rockiest track we run; it takes a toll on
a lot of the machines,” said Eichner. “STV
Motorsports, STI Tires and Wheels, Fox Shocks,
and Weller are a huge part of this victory.
These UTVs take a lot parts and a lot of work.
The STV Motorsports stuff is working really
well for me. They are a huge help.”

Eichner has been quietly climbing up the
Pro Stock championship standings. He now sits
sixth in the title chase, just 22 points out
of the lead.
STV Motorsports’ Doug Eichner will be back
in action as the series next heads to The
Orleans in Las Vegas, March 31-April 2.
