Maxxis' Thomas Brown Sidelined
for Red Bud ATV MX
Thomas Brown Looking to Return
to Racing at Loretta Lynn's
Sanger, TX (7/29/2016) - Root River
Racing/Maxxis’ Thomas Brown will be sidelined for
the Red Bud AMA ATV Motocross Championship event
this weekend in Buchanan, MI. Thomas will be in
attendance and supporting his Root River team as
he gives his hand time to heal up properly.
Thomas has several small fractures in his hand.
He had originally planned to return to competition
at this round, but doctors urged him to continue
resting the hand, rather than risk further injuries.

Brown is going to sit out for another round
of racing to give his hand time to fully
heal up, so he should be ready for Loretta
Lynn's |
“I need to let it heal up all the way and the
doctors said it will take three to four weeks,”
said Brown. “We’re going to hold off racing at
RedBud and plan to come back at Loretta’s. The
thumb fractures are healing, but they still need
some more time to heal completely. It will also
give me some time to loosen up the wrist after
I get out of the brace.”
Thomas will be at RedBud to support his fans
and his team. He’ll also be working with Argentinean
racer Nico Cavi.
“I will be there all day,” said Thomas. “Nico
is coming back for a spotlight race, so I’ll be
helping him. I’ll be there to support my teammates
and my Root River team, and I’ll sign autographs.
I may even try to sneak up into the announcing
booth during the Pro motos. Hopefully, I’ll get
to see some good racing.”
Brown plans to be back in action August 13 when
the series heads to the Loretta Lynn Ranch in
Hurricane Mills, TN.
“I’m going to head home from RedBud and hopefully
I’ll get some good news,” said Brown. “Unfortunately,
the only way to test it is to ride. I’m hoping
to get back on the bike a week out from Loretta’s.
I’m looking forward to getting back on track.”
