Tempe, AZ (9/22/2016) -
Pro Motorsports rider Matthew Hancock finished
sixth in the WORCS Racing Series Pro ATV race
at Glen Helen Raceway. In fact, race organizers
shortened the race due to the heat. Hancock
rode in the top five for much of the race
before the finish.
“I set my pace a little slow, but I let the heat get to me today,” said Hancock. “I just beat myself today. The quad was working great. The Elka Suspension and Roll Design worked awesome. The Maxxis Tires with Tire Blocks and DWT Wheels helped me in every corner. I have had no trouble all year with my Sparks motor.”

In the SxS Pro race, Hancock took the holeshot, but a belt issue ended his day early. Though he finished 14th, he is well in sight of the championship. He is fourth in points, just 10 points out the lead.

“It seems like I
can never have any luck at Glen Helen,”
said Hancock. “In the Unlimited race,
I had an electrical issue right at the start
and wasn’t able to get it going. In
the Pro race, I had an awesome start. The
Sparks Motor and Pro Motorsports clutching
was awesome. The Walker Evans shocks were
great. The Maxxis Tires and the Tire Blocks
are a great combination, as are Method Wheels
and Polaris. I was in a drag race at the end
and the belt just let go.”
“The guys who are
close to me in points also had belt problems
and it’s not over yet,” added
Hancock. “I’m pretty bummed with
the finish, but we’ll come in swinging
at the last race. On to the next one!”
Pro Motorsports and Hancock will be back on track as the WORCS Racing Series hosts its 2016 season finale October 21-23 in Primm, NV.
